Quantum Facades is proud to be appointed by Legacie Contracts Ltd for the prestigious Gateway development, located within the transformative Pumpfields regeneration zone in the heart of Liverpool. This landmark project comprises four residential towers and represents a significant step forward in the city’s urban renewal strategy.

As part of this appointment, Quantum Facades will deliver the full design, supply, and installation of an A1 fire-rated rainscreen cladding system across all four towers. The façade solution has been carefully specified to meet the highest standards of fire safety, thermal performance, and architectural quality.

The cladding system includes Genius Flat Panels for a sleek and modern exterior finish, 150mm Rockwool Duo Slab insulation to ensure optimal fire resistance and energy efficiency, and the Plastestrip Fastframe bracket and rail framing system for precision installation and structural reliability. These components will be installed across the main building elevations, private residential balconies, and the prominent soffit areas at ground floor level.

Quantum Facades is scheduled to commence works on site in June 2025, bringing its expertise and commitment to excellence to one of Liverpool’s most ambitious regeneration projects.

The Challenge

1. Limited Site Space: The construction site has a minimal footprint, which limits storage and operational capacity. This constraint necessitates a meticulous organization of materials and resources to ensure a streamlined workflow.
2. Complex Installations: In addition to the PPC facade, Quantum Facades are tasked with the installation of a hot melt roofing system supplied by Fatra. Coordinating these separate systems within the confines of a tight schedule and restricted site conditions require significant expertise and strategic foresight.

Quality Assurance: Given that Legacie Contracts Ltd are known for its high standards, Quantum Facades need to ensure that every aspect of the project meets rigorous quality benchmarks while adhering to timelines and safety regulations.
